The Kindness Works Initiative invites classrooms across the Inland Empire to open the door to the hidden world of emotions.
Behind every door lives a story. Within your classroom, that story is alive with excitement, challenges, and the small daily moments that bind you together. Gather your students and transform your door into an open invitation to feel: a living mural where emotions—big or small—can be seen, celebrated, and shared
Prompt: If the emotions of your classroom could be seen on the other side of the door, what story would they tell the world?
Prizes: The top three classrooms will each receive an Amazon gift card to support their students: $150 for first place, $100 for second, and $50 for third.
Entries will be accepted until 11:59 P.M on October 31st, 2025. Winners will be announced by Thursday, November 13th, 2025.
Door Decorating Contest Rules:
- Open to all K–12 classrooms within the Inland Empire.
- Each classroom may submit one decorated door as its official entry.
- Students can utilize, but are not limited to the following art mediums: Paint (acrylic, oil, tempera), Pastels, Charcoal, Pencil, Pen/Ink, Crayon, Colored Pencil, Watercolor, Gouache, Collage, Chalk, Markers, Photography, Mixed Media, Graphite…etc.)
