We hope you are healthy and doing well during this very challenging time. Riverside Medical Clinic Charitable Foundation (RMCCF) continues its mission dedicated to improving health and the quality of life in Inland Southern California through advocacy, education, and service.
As events are rapidly evolving, we want to update you on how we are navigating our programs, as we shelter in place during this unprecedented crisis.
While the way we work has changed, we continue to operate at full capacity for the needs of our community. It is precisely during a crisis like this that our resources continue to assist those in need or those who simply need a little kindness.
Along with our community of partners, we are here for you and want to hear from you if there is anything we can assist you with during this time.
Until business is back to what will be our new “normal,” please keep up to date with our programs by visiting our website at RMCcharity.org and our various social media platforms. Below are some of the changes we have made so far:
- Support Group Meetings. We have launched a proactive telephone outreach program to check in on community members and identify those who may need help. We have also moved our support group meetings to an online environment. Dates and times might change from our regular meetings, so we will email you as they are scheduled.
- Bullying Prevention Programming. We have developed virtual shout outs, contests, webinars and watch parties for students to join, as well as weekly challenges to add some fun to everyone’s day.
- Events and Lectures. So much of health education revolves around gathering as a community. That sense of connection will be severely tested in the coming weeks, which is why we are developing webinar opportunities to enable community members to stay engaged. In the upcoming weeks, we will continue to honor our founding doctors with lectures through webinars and activities where you can participate from your home.
- Scholarships. We have scholarship opportunities available. We have requested special grant funding in hopes of being able to award additional scholarships in the near future. Our high school scholarship deadline is coming up on May 1, 2020.
Lastly, we are looking forward to an exciting future at the Foundation, where we can all be together again. This has opened up new opportunities for us to learn how to serve you in different ways. I encourage you to let us know how we can assist you during this time.
Wishing you and your loved ones good health at this challenging time,
