reIMAGINE Bullying Prevention Curriculum

Riverside Medical Clinic Charitable Foundation (RMCCF) has been facilitating bullying prevention assemblies and programs throughout Riverside County for almost a decade. We began developing reIMAGINE in 2020 to complement our HERO Program. The success of this program involves creating a culture change throughout the entire school. This program focuses on the promotion of social and emotional well-being and positive self-image of school-age youth to help end the epidemic of bullying.

reIMAGINE gives a new and innovative structure for reducing bullying incidents in schools by combining RMCCF’s HERO Program and our new curriculum, which is based on the practices taught at CBU in its Sport and Performance Psychology Program. Introducing this program, which is easily facilitated at schools, creates a positive culture change and provides benefits that grow over the years as students continue through each grade.

Our reIMAGINE curriculum begins with the school dedicating itself to being a HERO Program school.

Our HERO Program is a bullying prevention program, beginning with an assembly at the start of the school year, which teaches students about bullying awareness and being kind and inclusive to those who have been bullied or who are bullies. We provide posters, banners, wristbands, and speakers who share their personal experiences with students. In addition, the HERO Program presents the “Be A HERO Award” to selected individuals through nominations, which are given on a quarterly basis. This award includes certificates, medals, and posters to further encourage students to be kind to one another.

We work with the school to schedule parent classes in Spanish and English and conduct kindness events and other activities throughout the year. We also support teachers as they work through the 10 modules of the curriculum, one for each month of the school calendar year.
