About our Bullying Prevention Programs

Who We Are

Identifying the need for bullying prevention and social and emotional learning for the youth within our community, we were inspired to launch the Anti-Bullying Institute (ABI). In 2014, the ABI was established to offer hands-on programs, services, and resources designed to empower children, parents, schools, and youth organization personnel to effectively deal with the issue of bullying. ABI has impacted over 23,540 students and parents through student and parent-centered bullying prevention education. We also currently serve over 23,000 HERO alumni through our ongoing programs.

Our Programs

Parent Classes – Classes are offered throughout Inland Southern California in-person or via webinar. Participants receive valuable information on bullying and learn how to effectively address bullying issues. Topics include an in-depth overview of traditional bullying and cyberbullying; identifying cues that your child is being bullied or is a bully; talking about bullying and maintaining open lines of communication with your child; and keeping kids connected, protected and safe online. Instructors will allow time during each session for questions related to parents’ specific situations. These 1 hour classes are provided free of charge in English or Spanish and can be booked online.

HERO Program – Our HERO Program is a bullying prevention program that enhances or compliments what schools are providing on their campuses. This program includes student, staff and parent education throughout the school year, along with recognition of exceptional students who go above and beyond to be a HERO. We have also added our TAKE 30 webinar series that continues our professional education throughout the year on a quarterly basis. Ongoing support and resources will be provided to combat and reduce bullying in schools and in our communities. This program is provided free of charge. Applications available online.

Kindness Events and Activities – Facilitated at your location, these can be conducted for an individual class, school or community center. Our staff facilitates these events, with the assistance of your staff, students, leadership groups, and administration. These events and activities are meant to inspire, educate and promote a positive, safe and happy environment. These programs are provided free of charge. Applications available online.

Professional Education, Conferences and Webinars – Our yearly conference is designed to raise awareness, promote workable solutions and create exceptional opportunities for professional development. Leading experts present the latest research and evidence-based strategies to participants who are committed to addressing and ending the bullying epidemic in our community. There is a small fee for our Conference.

Our Take 30 webinar series is quarterly and can attended by registering online at no cost.
