Speaker Bio:
Angie West, MSN, RN, CCRN-K, SCRN, ANVP is currently the Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Memorial Care Long Beach Medical Center. Angie has been published twice in the Journal of Neuroscience Nursing, contributed to the recently published Comprehensive Review for Stroke Nurse and has had several poster abstracts chosen for the International Stroke Conference and for NTI (National Critical Care Conference). She has spoken for the American Stroke Association on several occasions presenting on the processes to set up a Stroke Center. She is on the board of the LA County Stroke Coordinators Committee and she is also the Vice President of the Board of the Stroke Support Association in Long Beach.

Everyone’s stroke is different. This presentation will discuss the two types of stroke as well as stroke prevention and stroke treatment.
